Plumbing
Bonded, Worksafe BC coverage and insured, I have over 18 years experience working in the plumbing and gas fitting trades. I received my Red Seal certificate in plumbing in 2009 after a 4 year apprenticeship and since then have been installing and servicing plumbing and gas fixtures. Roughly 10 years working in new residential and commercial construction. 7 years of service and repair plumbing, renovations and re-pipe. Followed up with a year and a half working on custom swimming pools. Water pipe, drainage, radiant flooring, pump replacement, fixtures such as tubs, showers, toilets, and sinks. Servicing and repairs or replacing parts. Appliances installs or hookups such as dishwashers and gas stoves. If you want to renovate, add an additional bathroom or re-pipe your whole house I am happy to give you a free estimate. Sorry I am not currently offering furnace installations or repairs.
Poly B Removal
Many houses built in the late 80s and throughout the 90s have Poly B waterlines. They are a dark grey color usually with copper colored fittings and rings. Over time the lines become brittle and crack or split. Some insurance companies are now refusing to provide home insurance for home owners in town homes or detached houses until these pipes are removed and replaced. I will replace all the lines with new PEX/Vipert piping and any other supply lines or Poly B related parts or valves. All fixtures will have new shutoffs and generally I replace the PRV and add a main shut off valve as well. In many cases this can be done in 1 or 2 days. Give me a call and I can come by for a free estimate. I do not repair any drywall that must be removed however I have a contractor I work with that can repair any holes cut.
Hot Water Tank Installation
I install John Wood Pro Line commercial grade hot water tanks. They are available in various sizes such as 40, 50 or 60 gallon and either running on electric or natural gas. Install generally takes about 2 to 3 hours. There are other sizes available for tight spaces or smaller applications. Current installed prices are at bottom of this page.
Gas Fitting
Residential and light commercial gas fitting. New gas line installs, connecting gas appliances, connecting gas meters, BBQ boxes and patio fire tables, heaters and BBQ’s or BBQ conversions if the customer supplies the conversion kit. I do not offer fireplace servicing. When installing a new gas appliance a permit must be pulled with the local city or Technical Safety BC and I will take care of that for you.
Appliance Repair
I do get calls for appliance repair, however this is not something I do. You must call an appliance repair technician for repairs or servicing of appliances such as dishwashers or washing machines. I can do new installs only. I am happy to remove a dishwasher for you and install a new one.
Hourly / Flat Rates

Hourly
- Plumbing $120.00/hr
- Gas Fitting $120.00/hr
- Fuel surcharge of $25.00 and 5% GST on labor added to invoice for plumbing and gas fitting.
- Large jobs taking multiple days will have an additional fuel surcharge.
- Lower rate of $100.00/hr when installing complete plumbing and gas systems in new home construction. Example would be all plumbing from groundwork to completion.
Flat Rates
- Snaking a kitchen drain line, has an additional charge of $125.00 for use of the machine.
- Installation of a new toilet including the labor to remove and dispose of the old toilet and install the new one is $700.00. I install American Standard Sonoma, comfort height, elongated toilets unless a round front bowl is requested.
- Currently my installed prices including labor, parts and taxes, for a standard size 40 gallon hot water tank is $1850 for an electric tank and $2250 for a natural gas tank. Includes disposal.
- To simplify Poly B Re-pipes I now base pricing on number of fixtures. $400.00/indoor fixture, $200.00/outdoor fixture.
